With new World-class facilities in New Bedford Massachusetts USA, Aerovox continues as a leading manufacturer of AC film capacitors. Starting business in 1922, Aerovox still focuses on producing capacitors for AC voltage applications or custom requirements. Aerovox now produces over a million capacitors each month.

In 2002 Aerovox was reorganized and combined film capacitor operations with Parallax Power Components (previously part of Magnetek). Aerovox centralized facilities include R&D, dielectric development, product design, test labs, automated mfg., computer controlled final testing of each completed product, warehousing and customer service. Aerovox is a privately held business, now organized to respond quickly to our customer's needs anywhere in the World. Aerovox developed automated equipment that provides high quantities of reliable capacitors, competitive with plants Worldwide.

Aerovox capacitors typically range from 1 to 200 microfarads in AC voltage ranges from 240VAC to over 4000VAC (and custom applications with DC voltages up to 6000VDC). Case styles include industry standard oil-filled metal cases (oval & round), dry plastic cases (various boxes and round configurations), axial-lead "wrap & fill", and innovative custom cases for unique requirements.
